Yuzvendra Chahal
Indian wrist spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal tops the list of most T20 wickets for India, making his T20 debut in 2016 against Zimbabwe. Over the years, he has been an important member of the Indian T20 side with his accurate witty leg-spin bowling. For India, Chahal has taken 96 wickets in 80 matches at a decent average of 25.09. which makes him the player with the most T20 wickets for India. 6 for 25 is his best bowling number in the format. Chahal surpassed Kumar to become India’s highest wicket-taker in T20 in January 2023.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
When it comes to white-ball cricket, right-hand bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar is featured in the 2nd spot in taking the most T20 wickets for India. Kumar makes the batsmen dance with the new ball and create trouble with slowers and yorkers. In his 10 years (2012-2022), Kumar has 90 scalps in 87 matches for India in his name. Kumar’s last few series might not be decent, but overall he is hard to smash, his economy of 6.96 yells about it.Â
Jasprit Bumrah
One of the finest all-format bowlers of the current generation, Jasprit Bumrah gets 3rd place on the chart of the most t20 wickets for India in international cricket. In his 68 matches for India, Bumrah has grabbed 85 wickets. In this format, Bumrah has struck in every 17 balls. His economy of 6.32 is the best among Indian bowlers with more than 10 matches.Â
Hardik Pandya
The man who has provided balance to the Indian cricket team since 2016, Hardik Pandya is featured in 4th position on the honorable list of most T20 wickets for India. Having played 98 games, the charging all-rounder has claimed 81 wickets at a good average of 26.81 while his strike rate has remained 19.24. The Baroda boy possesses variations in his bowling to thrive.
Ravi AshwinÂ
Probably the greatest spinner of this generation, Ravi Ashwin finds himself in 6th place in terms of taking the most t20 wickets for India, with 72 wickets in 65 matches. Ashwin has conceded 23 runs for each of his wickets in t20 cricket. Ashwin holds the record of being the highest wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup for India (32 wickets). Against Sri Lanka, the lanky spinner has registered his career-best in the T20s.Â
