MotoGP Weekly Round-Up: Final Liveries Revealed

BK8 Gresini Racing, Honda LCR Team and Honda HRC Castrol round off the livery launches for 2026.

The final three teams revealed their 2026 colours this week, ahead of the Sepang Shakedown. With the start of the 2026 MotoGP season in just three weeks’ time, let’s take a look at the last of the livery launches.

BK8 Gresini Racing

The iconic powder blue is back, but this time it feels much richer. Gone are the chrome details, and instead there’s a clear stylistic choice that brings a clean and modern design. Expectations are high, with two highly talented riders in Fermín Aldeguer and Álex Márquez. The team’s 2025 season had some real highs, and it’s hoped that this will only continue to grow in 2026.

Team owner, Nadia Padovani, feels confident that their rider line-up can bring home good results this season:

“We strongly believe in this pairing and in the work we are doing together. We are truly proud of this new project.”

Álex Márquez showed strong form in 2025, often challenging at the front and bringing home decent results. Now going into his third season with the team, he has high hopes for 2026:

“We hope it will be a season full of success, and on our side we will put in all the commitment and hard work needed to achieve our goals. We are absolutely ready to challenge ourselves.”

Honda HRC Castrol

2026 is the final year of the Honda RC213V. It’s also the 60th anniversary of Honda’s entry into the premier class – and what better way to celebrate than in the iconic Honda HRC tricolore.Fiery red represents the passion for racing, the deep blue represents the journey to reach technical excellence, whilst the brilliant white is for motorsports fans. Add the Castrol iconography, and you’ve got a striking appearance.

The team are doubling down on their efforts to get back to the top of MotoGP. Honda has a strong legacy, and whilst the year will see several celebrations commemorating their successes, there’s still plenty of work to be done.

Luca Marini, now in his third year riding for Honda, has no doubts about what lies ahead:

“Our objectives are clear: to be there fighting near the front and take full advantage of any and all opportunities which are presented to us.”

Joan Mir knows what it takes to win a world championship. The Spaniard has reflected on a difficult 2025 season, with clear goals in mind for this year:

“In 2026 we need to find the consistency we struggled with last year, we showed that both myself and the Honda RC213V have the speed and ability to make Honda HRC proud.”

Pro Honda LCR & Castrol Honda LCR

We’ve been treated to not one, but two liveries from the Honda LCR Team. With two title sponsors backing them, it makes perfect sense to show them off in equal measure.

It’s also LCR’s 30th anniversary. Team Principal, Lucio Cecchinello, has fond memories from the past three decades and high hopes for the future:

“I was the first rider to kick off the LCR journey, which is not just my dream, but also the place I call home. Since 1996, we’ve earned 133 podiums, 41 wins, and 36 pole positions. As Team Principal, I cannot wait to see those numbers grow. We are fully committed and motivated to fight for it.”

Pro Honda LCR brings an all-new look to table, with clean streaks of red, white and blue creating an eye-catching livery. As well as a new look, there’s a new kid on the block. Diogo Moreira is entering his MotoGP rookie season fresh off the back of his Moto2 championship win. It’s a fresh feeling all-round, and hopefully one that will bring much-needed vigour to the team.

On the other side of the garage, MotoGP veteran Johann Zarco continues to represent Castrol. Clad in the classic and familiar red, white and green colours, the Frenchman enters his 9th year in MotoGP. With him, he brings a wealth of experience that is sure to boost Honda’s 2026 campaign.
