Myanmar finish first round unbeaten in men’s sitting volleyball < World ParaVolleyWorld ParaVolley

Myanmar completed an unbeaten first round of the men’s sitting volleyball competition at the ASEAN Para Games Thailand 2025 on Day 2, while hosts Thailand added a straight-sets victory as the double round-robin tournament continued in Nakhon Ratchasima.

Myanmar opened the day with a commanding 3–0 victory over the Philippines (25–13, 25–9, 25–12), setting the tone early and maintaining control throughout the match. The result moved Myanmar closer to a perfect first round, with the team continuing to show consistency across all phases of play.

Thailand followed with a dominant performance against the Philippines, securing a 3–0 win (25–11, 25–7, 25–14). The hosts dictated play from the opening set, limiting errors and keeping rallies short as they recorded their second victory of the competition.

Myanmar returned to the court later in the day and sealed their unbeaten first round with another straight-sets result, defeating Indonesia 3–0 (25–22, 25–12, 25–13). After a tighter opening set, Myanmar pulled away to close out the match and finish the opening round with a 3–0 record.

After two days of competition, Myanmar lead the standings at 3–0, completing the first round without a loss. Thailand sit second at 2–1, followed by Indonesia at 1–2, while the Philippines are fourth at 0–3.

The men’s sitting volleyball competition continues in Nakhon Ratchasima as the second round of the double round-robin format gets underway, with teams aiming to strengthen their positions ahead of the medal matches.

The sitting volleyball competition at the ASEAN Para Games Thailand 2025 runs from 21–25 January in Nakhon Ratchasima.
