Najmul Shanto to lead the 16-member squad

Bangladesh have announced their 16-member squad for the upcoming two Test-match series against India. Najmul Hossain Shanto will be leading the side in the series. The Tigers are coming off an incredible 2-0 Test series victory against Pakistan.

India will begin their Test season against the Bangladesh side in Chennai on September 19 before they travel to Kanpur to play the second Test from September 27.

The Men in Blue have already announced their squad for the home series. Senior stars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be headlining the side.

India currently stand on top of World Test Championship (WTC) points table, but are followed closely by Australia on second place. Bangladesh’s historic Test series win over Pakistan took them to the fourth spot on the table, so they can’t be taken lightly by any means.

Bangladesh have only made one change to their series-winning squad from the Pakistan tour, with Jaker Ali taking the spot of injured pacer Shoriful Islam.

The upcoming 2-match Test series will be followed by a 3-match T20I series between the 2 teams that is also set to be played in India.
