Nate Diaz explodes at Charles Oliveira, Daniel Cormier in rare podcast appearance

Former UFC superstar Nate Diaz used part of a rare podcast appearance to slam several of the biggest names in Mixed Martial Arts.

Nate Diaz is weeks away from his highly anticipated return to Mixed Martial Arts as he prepares to face fellow UFC alum Mike Perry on the upcoming Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano card. Diaz, who parted ways with the UFC after a win at UFC 279, hasn’t fought in any respect since defeating former BMF foe Jorge Masvidal in a 2024 boxing match.

Diaz was allegedly in talks with UFC CEO Dana White for a potential reunion later this year, before negotiations faltered. After his upcoming fight against Perry, Diaz could potentially reignite contract talks with the UFC and the matchmakers.

In the meantime, Diaz is promoting his upcoming MMA return in his own way, including taking shots at several prominent MMA names. UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier, BMF champion Charles Oliveira, and one-time scheduled rival Dustin Poirier were a few names who came under fire from Diaz.

Nate Diaz: DC a ‘bitter b—-‘, Charles Oliveira ‘I’d beat the s— out of’

In a recent appearance on the This Past Weekend with Theo Von podcast, Diaz went off on Cormier.

“I’ve never seen a single Daniel Cormier fight in my career, except for when I was on the same card as him one time. Picking up the dude, walking around like he owned him…then got knocked out on his a**. That was the only DC fight I’ve ever seen! And he wants to tell me what I should do and why I’m not a good fighter. I’m like, ‘Are you mad because you were the champion? And when I was nowhere near being a champion, I got paid way more money than you?’. That’s a f—– bitter little b—- that’s analyzing fight. You’re a great wrestler, DC, but you can’t fight for s—.

“You’re a big ‘ol p—-. Remember when he cried?”

This isn’t the first time that Diaz and Cormier have traded barbs. In 2024, after Cormier dismissed the idea of Diaz headlining a UFC card at the Las Vegas Sphere, Diaz went on a social media tirade against the UFC Hall of Famer.

But Cormier wasn’t the only target of Diaz’s ire, as he turned his attention to current BMF titleholder Charles Oliveira.

“BMF belt, f—– b—- a– Oliveira, who I believe I’d beat the f—– s— out of. People I’ve beaten have beaten him….he’s walking around with my belt!” Diaz said of Oliveira.

“And this fool won the title, then Oliveira said no thanks to fighting me…I understand that you have the right to big-league me because you’re a champion, so go ahead with your sorry a– then. A few months later, after Conor breaks his leg all up and gets knocked out, [Oliveira] goes ‘I’ll fight Conor McGregor!’.

“But I thought you wanted bigger and better things?” Diaz continued. “You’re picking on people who are on the downfall, and that’s the whole perspective on that situation.”

As of this writing, neither Cormier nor Oliveira has responded to Diaz’s remarks.
