Surviving over five rounds and landing some shots of his own against a former world boxing champion can be seen as commendable by most for Jake Paul. While his performance didn’t steal the headlines, he did have moments of brilliance that got fans out of their seats, but his display didn’t appease everybody.
‘The Problem Child’ has had some questionable outings throughout his stint in boxing. Failing to land any damaging punches on an almost 60-year-old Mike Tyson, consistently opting to face smaller opponents, and losing to Tommy Fury are all valid criticisms of the YouTube star.
However, as Anthony Joshua said himself, Jake Paul deserves his flowers for having the courage to get in the ring with a knockout threat the size of AJ.
One man whose opinion differs is UFC legend Nate Diaz. The Stockton native took to social media to clown Paul for his showing on Friday night.
“Don’t be scared,” Diaz said while watching the Paul vs. Joshua fight unfold.

Nate Diaz was one of the people who called out Jake Paul for his antics during the fight.
While his game plan of not being trapped or hit with anything significant was going to plan, Paul was continuously falling to his knees and grappling with Joshua. This led to a tirade against him online, with Diaz joining the fray.

Another major criticism of Jake Paul’s display was his lack of cardio. Maneuvering around the ring to avoid Joshua’s power shots was hard work, and it didn’t take long for Paul to begin to tire.
As the fourth round came, the influencer was visibly fading. He became slower getting to his feet with each failed grappling exchange, began lowering his hands, and was solely relying on the big right hand, opposed to sticking and moving as he did earlier in the fight.
Nate Diaz called out Jake Paul’s lack of cardio with a follow-up post on X.
“Dat boi don’t work hard enough.”
Dat boi don’t work hard enough 🤦♂️
