Lyon expressed surprise over India’s decision to bench both R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in Perth, opting instead for Washington Sundar. “It more than surprises me,” he said. “Ashwin with 530-odd wickets and Jadeja with over 300—it’s remarkable to see that level of quality sitting out.”
