Kawhi Leonard just made history with the LA Clippers, turning back the clock to deliver a vintage performance.
The LA Clippers have definitely underperformed this season, losing several games to start the 2025-26 NBA campaign.
Things have gotten so bad that several Clippers players have been put in trade talks to try to salvage the dire situation their franchise is in.

Should the LA Clippers trade James Harden and Kawhi Leonard?
But over the past few games, quietly, the LA Clippers have been turning things around. They came into their game against the Detroit Pistons on a three-game winning streak.
And thanks to Kawhi Leonard’s historic performance against the Pistons, the Clippers have now made it four wins in a row.

Fans believe Kawhi Leonard is back to his peak after 55-point performance
Against the Detroit Pistons, Kawhi Leonard turns things around in a massive way, putting on a vintage performance by scoring 55 points.
In doing so, Leonard tied the Clippers’ all-time scoring record, last set by his teammate, James Harden, a little over a month ago.
Several NBA fans took to social media to react to Leonard’s historic night, with one fan noting, “As close to Jordan in terms of game style that we have had since Kobe.”

Another eager fan added, “In an injury-free universe, this is the best player on the planet.”
A third fan chimed in, saying, “Sometimes I wish this dude actually played basketball so people could get a better idea of what Jordan would’ve looked like in this era.”
“Probably the best game this year.. keep in mind he had 8 STOCKS!,” wrote a fourth fan.
However, one fan reminded fans of Kawhi’s biggest issue, claiming, “Vintage Kawhi. Current Kawhi, though – Next week he’ll be out for a month.”
LA Clippers must sustain this strong run of form
Winning four games in a row means the LA Clippers have gone from an abysmal 6-21 record to a slightly better 10-21 record.
But given how deep a hole the LA Clippers find themselves in, they cannot afford to lose many more games as the season goes on.
The Clippers put together this roster in the summer to try to compete for an NBA championship. And right now, they are not even close to that.
But if they can make a sustained push in the remainder of the season, they can try to sneak into the playoffs and take their chances there.
