The signing of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George set them back in ways they couldn’t even imagine. And they won’t even be able to reap the consolation prize of underperforming this season.

The Thunder have the Clippers’ 2026 first-round pick, as part of the Paul George trade. With the way the Clippers are playing, that could become a top-10 or even top-5 lottery pick.

Harden, to his credit, has done everything in his power to make sure that doesn’t happen. But the Clippers just can’t seem to get it done with or without him.
