Netflix Emerging as Front-Runner for Pat McAfee’s Next Media Deal

Netflix Emerging as Front-Runner for Pat McAfee’s Next Media Deal

Pat McAfee’s future is starting to come into focus — and Netflix is right at the center of it. As the streaming giant continues expanding into sports content, video podcasting, and its growing partnership with WWE, a new update suggests McAfee could become a major piece of that strategy in the near future.

Sports journalist Blake Avignon reports that Netflix is expected to be one of the primary front-runners to land The Pat McAfee Show once his next deal window starts opening up over the next 12 to 24 months. And this isn’t being framed like some standard contract situation either — because Ari Emanuel is now reportedly involved in helping line up what comes next.

“Sources: @Netflix is expected to be a primary front-runner to secure @PatMcAfeeShow as his next deal window begins to take shape over the next 12–24 months as his @ESPN deal progresses, with @AriEmanuel now involved in positioning his next deal.”

Netflix, for one, has been moving further into sports-adjacent and personality-driven programming. At the same time, it already has a growing relationship with WWE through Raw. McAfee is already part of that world as a commentator, which gives this whole thing a built-in connection before any deal is even signed. That existing overlap was a huge part of why Avignon said the fit makes so much sense.

“Between Netflix’s move into video podcasting, its expanding relationship with @WWE through #WWERaw, and McAfee already spending time on the Netflix-distributed Raw broadcast as a commentator, there’s proven compatibility.”

Triple H recently said McAfee is seen by many as the face of WWE, which is a massive statement considering how many major stars are under that umbrella right now. That kind of internal value only makes McAfee more attractive if Netflix is looking for someone who can bridge sports, entertainment, and wrestling all at once. Avignon pointed directly to that part too when explaining why the logic behind this possible move is so obvious.

“Add in @TripleH recently saying McAfee is seen by many as ‘the face of WWE,’ and the logic is obvious.”

And then came the bigger takeaway — this next deal may not even be about just the show itself. It may be about McAfee as an all-around media property. That was the final piece Avignon noted when describing how McAfee is being viewed right now.

“McAfee isn’t just on-air talent at this point. He’s an analyst, performer, and has built an organically grown audience engine, which is why his next deal feels bigger than a standard media contract.”

All of this adds to McAfee’s already expanding career, which includes WWE, ESPN, and growing Hollywood opportunities. Bottom line — this isn’t just about where The Pat McAfee Show lands next. It’s about positioning McAfee as a full-scale media force, with Netflix potentially becoming the center of that next phase.
