TrillerTV could be heading toward another major shakeup as a new buyer steps forward with plans to purchase the struggling streaming platform and steer it in a different direction.
According to PWInsider.com, Orange Crush — led by media executive Adam Abdalla — is currently assembling private funding in an effort to purchase what was once known as FITE and separate it from TrillerTV ownership. The move comes at a time when the company has faced mounting financial pressure and uncertainty about its future.
Abdalla, who heads the New York City-based public relations firm Cultural Counsel, has built connections across film, television, and media, and he appears to be positioning himself to reshape the platform if the deal goes through. His recent activity suggests he’s already making moves across entertainment, sports, and culture.
Just this past week in Miami, Abdalla launched GameTime Sessions, described as the first museum-led culture and sports conference, held alongside the opening of one of the largest traveling contemporary art and sports exhibits in the United States. That same day also saw the world premiere of the boxing documentary On the Line, which Abdalla co-produced with Vincent Piazza.
His involvement in wrestling-related projects has also continued to expand. Abdalla recently curated and launched Sunset Flip, an exhibit featuring artwork from AEW Women’s Champion Thekla and ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty at the Pérez Art Museum in Miami.
If Orange Crush successfully acquires TrillerTV, Abdalla reportedly plans to broaden the platform’s focus beyond combat sports. One of the major ideas being floated involves bringing music videos back into the spotlight while also incorporating films alongside live combat sports content to expand the service’s appeal.
In the wrestling world, Abdalla has also announced plans for a new promotion called Produce, which is expected to debut this June with events scheduled in New York City and New Jersey. Tickets for the company’s first show, set for June 29 in Brooklyn, are slated to go on sale shortly.
TrillerTV’s history stretches back to 2012 when it first launched as The Flipps App before rebranding to FITE. Over time, the service grew into one of the strongest independent combat sports streaming platforms, hosting events from WWE, AEW, GCW, TNA, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and numerous other organizations.
The company’s direction shifted significantly in 2021 when Triller acquired a stake in the platform before eventually taking full ownership and rebranding it as TrillerTV. However, financial troubles followed. In January 2026, the company was delisted from NASDAQ after failing to submit required financial filings, citing technical issues tied to merging accounts after its merger with AGBA Group, Inc.
Despite those setbacks, there is optimism among those familiar with the situation that if Orange Crush secures the purchase, much of the original pre-Triller FITE team could remain in place under new leadership — a move that could stabilize the platform and preserve relationships across combat sports and wrestling.
With streaming platforms playing a major role in how wrestling content reaches fans around the world — especially through services like AEW+ — any ownership change at TrillerTV could have ripple effects across multiple promotions.
More developments are expected as negotiations continue, and the future of the platform remains in flux. Stay tuned to Ringside News for updates as additional details become available.
