NFL fans plead with Fox to take Terry Bradshaw off the air after legend’s latest ’embarrassing’ mistake

Terry Bradshaw infuriated NFL fans once again on Sunday with a bizarre piece of analysis on the final weekend of the NFL’s regular season.

Bradshaw is one of football’s most beloved figures and one of the most successful quarterbacks in history.

The 77-year-old led the Pittsburgh Steelers to four Super Bowl titles in six seasons between 1974 and 1978 before becoming the face of Fox’s NFL coverage.

But his work behind the broadcast desk this season has led to fury from fans almost every week and they have once again urged Bradshaw to retire or Fox to take him off the air completely.

Those calls grew even louder on Sunday when Bradshaw displayed a blatant lack of preparation by having no idea who the Green Bay Packers’ starting quarterback was.

Jordan Love was taken out of the firing line for their Week 18 game at the Minnesota Vikings because they are already in the playoffs, while his back up Malik Willis was inactive.

That left No. 3 quarterback Clayton Tune to make his first start for Green Bay but Bradshaw clearly had no idea who the 2023 fifth round draft pick.

He said: ‘Jordan Love is coming out of concussion protocol, could play if they were in the playoffs today but they’re going to rest him.’

‘His back up is a guy by the name of Love’, Bradshaw mistakenly said before correcting himself and saying ‘Tune, Tune from the University of Houston. Fifth rounder. I’ve never heard of him.’

One of Bradshaw’s co-stars then interrupted to tell him Tune is ‘the No. 3’ on the Packers, to which the 77-year-old asked: ‘Is he? I don’t know what he is. We’ll find out today.’

That infuriated the fans watching at home, who took to social media to criticize Bradshaw and demand his retirement.

One wrote: ‘Terry Bradshaw getting confused on the Packers’ QB and saying he has no idea who Tune is despite good prep time with them announcing it earlier this week.

‘He’s unbearably unlistenable now. Time to let him live out his life in retirement.’

A second commented: ‘Terry Bradshaw we get it you’re a legend. But is absolutely time to hand up the analyst gig. Yikes’.

A third commented: ‘Terry Bradshaw needs to retire, guy is so old and his rambles are brutal to listen to’.

Another called Bradshaw ‘unbearable’ while one annoyed viewer labelled him ’embarrassing’.

Bradshaw’s spot on Fox’s NFL coverage has once again come under scrutiny this season after a series of blunders and odd mistakes.

He left viewers stunned earlier this month when he went off-track and began discussing airports rather than his preview of the Bills-Steelers game.

Bradshaw also recently botched the name of Jaxon Smith-Njigba while on duty.

The Seattle Seahawks wide receiver scored a stunning 63-yard touchdown against the Tennessee Titans on November 23.

But while discussing Smith-Njigba’s first-half touchdown, Bradshaw referred to the receiver – live on air – as ‘Njigboo.’

He was called out by fellow panelist Strahan, who reminded Bradshaw that the receiver’s name is Njigba. ‘That’s what I said,’ Bradshaw replied. ‘Something like that.’
