NFL Week 15 winners, losers: Josh Allen’s MVP case

With most of the NFL Week 15 schedule in the books, it is time to take a look at some of the biggest winners and losers from Sunday’s action. Some teams officially punched their ticket for the playoffs. Other teams saw their playoff dreams officially end for the season.

NFL Week 15 winners

Josh Allen, QB, Buffalo Bills. The day began with New England Patriots fans chanting “M-V-P,” and they were, quite likely, watching the eventual MVP play on Sunday. It just wasn’t their guy (Drake Maye). It was Allen. He was masterful (three touchdown passes, no interceptions) in helping the Bills erase a 21-0 first-half deficit on their way to a 35-31 win to keep their AFC East hopes alive.

Baltimore Ravens defense. The Ravens have not been perfect this season, and their defense has had some tough games. But they were incredible on Sunday in a 24-0 shutout win over the Cincinnati Bengals to get back to .500 and allow themselves to keep pace in the AFC North race.

Trevor Lawrence, quarterback, Jacksonville Jaguars. From a big picture perspective, Lawrence’s career has bordered on disappointing. But he is still a big-time talent that is capable of taking over a game, and he did that on Sunday with a six-touchdown performance in a 48-20 rout of the New York Jets.
