NFL Week 16 Picks Against the Spread

NFL Week 16 Picks Against the Spread

The NFL season is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are NFL week 16 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from Tallysight as of Tuesday morning)

Last Week:
7-9

Season: 108-114-2

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks (-1.5)

The Seahawks struggled to find the end zone last week against the Colts and that will likely continue this week against the Rams’ defense. Even is the Rams are without Davante Adams, the offense has enough to pull off the win on the road.

Pick: Rams

Saturday Games

Philadelphia Eagles (-6) at Washington Commanders

Philadelphia needed a game to get things right and they did against the Raiders. Their defense won’t budge much against the Commanders and they should be able to cover this spread.

Pick: Eagles

Green Bay Packers (-1.5) at Chicago Bears

Losing so many players to injury is tough for the Packers, but they should still have enough to win on the road. Green Bay’s offense will continue to open up more with Jayden Reed getting more comfortable coming back from injury.

Pick: Packers

Sunday Afternoon

Los Angeles Chargers at Dallas Cowboys (-2.5)

The Cowboys are likely out of the playoffs after losing last week. Los Angeles had great play in their secondary last week and that can continue against the Cowboys.

Pick: Chargers

Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins (-1.5)

Miami is coming off a short week after playing the Steelers on Monday Night Football. Cincinnati has lost to the Ravens and Bills the last two weeks, but should be able to take care of business against a non-playoff team.

Pick: Bengals

Buffalo Bills (-10) at Cleveland Browns

Buffalo is playing good football the last few weeks as they make their push to the playoffs. The Browns have a solid defense, but simply don’t have the offensive firepower to keep up in this one.

Pick: Bills

Kansas City Chiefs (-3) at Tennessee Titans

Patrick Mahomes is injured, but Gardner Minshew is a capable quarterback. The Chiefs are out of the playoffs, but the Titans are a mess right now.

Pick: Chiefs

New York Jets at New Orleans Saints (-4)

The Saints and Tyler Shough are playing better down the stretch of the season. New York has been down to Brady Cook at quarterback, so the Saints can win and cover at home.

Pick: Saints

Minnesota Vikings (-2.5) at New York Giants

The Giants have lost eight straight games. Minnesota hasn’t had the season they wanted, but should have enough juice to win and cover on the road.

Pick: Vikings

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-2.5) at Carolina Panthers

Both of these teams are fighting for a playoff spot, but they aren’t playing consistently good football. The Panthers could struggle to keep up with all of the Bucs’ weapons and Tampa Bay had a little extra time to prepare for this game after playing on Thursday last week.

Pick: Buccaneers

Sunday Evening

Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos (-3.5)

Denver notched a big win over the Packers in week 15. Jacksonville destroyed the Jets and they have a defense that is underrated. A top 10 offense and defense can go on the road and get the win.

Pick: Jaguars

Atlanta Falcons (-2.5) at Arizona Cardinals

Arizona has won just one of their last 12 games. Kirk Cousins can lead the Falcons to a road win, especially given that he had extra time to prepare after playing on Thursday Night Football last week.

Pick: Falcons

Pittsburgh Steelers at Detroit Lions (-6.5)

The Steelers are going to be on a short week. Detroit has not lost consecutive games this season and should be able to recover well from their loss to the Rams to win by more than a touchdown.

Pick: Lions

Las Vegas Raiders at Houston Texans (-14)

Houston still needs to play hard to make the playoffs. Their defense is great and the Raiders don’t have much going for them on offense. The Raiders have lost by at least 14 points in four of their last five games.

Pick: Texans

New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens (-3)

The Patriots battled the Bills tough last week. Baltimore could really use this win for their playoff hopes, but they have been far from consistent this season.

Pick: Patriots

San Francisco 49ers (-5.5) at Indianapolis Colts

San Francisco continues to play well despite their injuries. They should be able to slow the Colts’ offense as Philip Rivers doesn’t have the arm strength to beat defenses down the field.

Pick: 49ers
