Jake DeBrusk is another forward who might interest teams that are looking for someone with term
The Fourth Period: Vancouver Canucks Evander Kane, Conor Garland, Teddy Blueger and Elias Pettersson have had their name in the rumor mill for a while now, and you can likely add forward Jake DeBrusk to that list.
Irfaan Gaffar reported on the DFO Rundown last week that DeBrusk is open to a change of scenery. He has five years left at a $5.5 million cap hit and a full no-move clause. Among the teams to show some level of interest are the Boston Bruins, Seattle Kraken and Detroit Red Wings.
It’s not known what the Canucks would be looking for to move DeBrusk

The Detroit Red Wings are looking for a top-four Dman and maybe a No. 2 center
The Fouth Period: The Detroit Red Wings are looking for a top-four defenseman, who ideally would be right-handed, according to multiple sources. They have tons of salary cap space available.
They were interested in Rasmus Andersson before he was traded to Vegas, and have been linked to Rasmus Ristolainen of the Philadelphia Flyers.
The Red Wings have also shown some interest in St. Louis Blues forward Robert Thomas, who has five years left at $8.236. Thomas has a full no-trade clause.

The Nashville Predators could do some selling despite still being in the playoff race
The Fourth Period: The Nashville Predators are only four points out of a playoff, but they could still move some pieces out by the deadline. Most of the speculation has surrounded Steven Stamkos and Ryan O’Reilly, but several teams have shown interest in Erik Haula and Jonathan Marchessault.
The 34-year old Haula is a pending UFA with a $3.15 million cap hit and a six-team no-trade list. The 35-year-old Marchessault has three years left at a $5.5 million cap hit and a no-movement clause. It’s believed he’d be willing to waive for the right opportunity. In the past, Marchessault has been linked to the New Jersey Devils and the Los Angeles Kings.
Other pending Predators UFAs include forwards Michael Bunting, Cole Smith, Tyson Jost and Michael McCarron, and defenceman Nick Blankenburg. Multiple teams have shown interest in Bunting and McCarron.
