Sounds like the New York Rangers have a final offer from the Minnesota Wild for Vincent Trocheck
Michael Russo and Joe Smith of The Athletic: The 32-year-old Vincent Trocheck has three years left on his contract at a $5.25 million cap hit. He wants to stay in the East, and several West teams are on his 12-team no-trade list. The Minnesota Wild are not one the teams on this no-trade list.
Russo/Smith note that there is no doubt that the Wild have made their one and final offer for New York Rangers forward Vincent Trocheck. Wild GM Bill Guerin doesn’t mess around and has a history of making his final offer right off the start. Rangers GM Chris Drury will shop Trocheck around knowing what the Wild are willing to do.
The Wild don’t have a lot of assets left, but could offer a package around their 2027 first-round pick, Charlie Stramel, and maybe another prospect.
NHL Rumors: Maple Leafs, Bruins, Trocheck, and Myers
If he wanted to be moved, would Steven Stamkos make sense for the Minnesota Wild?
Michael Russo and Joe Smith of The Athletic: Pierre LeBrun reported last week that the Minnesota Wild, Dallas Stars and Tampa Bay Lightning are on Steven Stamkos‘ short list of teams that he may accept a trade to. (Stamkos also came out and said he doesn’t want to go anywhere)
The Wild could use Stamkos’ right shot on the power play. He doesn’t have two years left at $8 million, which is a number the Wild could handle without any salary retention.
Does adding a scoring winger or a center make more sense, though? Stamkos used to be a center.
Could the Boston Bruins be a fit for Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland?
Daily Faceoff: Jeff Marek on DFO Rundown wonders if Conor Garland would be a fit for the Boston Bruins.
“I’ve wondered if there’s a fit, again, this is just speculation, I’ve wondered if there’s a fit there with Conor Garland. Like Vancouver has until July 1st, until there’s no trade kicks in. I really do wonder if the Boston Bruins could be a fit for Conor Garland.
I know he’s not massive. He’s not a huge winger. But like when you watch Conor Garland play, could you not see him picking everything that he brings in his game in a Bruins jersey? I know I can. I really can see the way that that guy plays fitting what Marco Sturm wants to do.
NHL Rumors: Seattle Kraken, and the Philadelphia Flyers
So if Vancouver, I mean, they are inspired. If they’re make a move here they, you know, do it before he gets before he gets protection on July 1st. I wonder if there’s a fit with Conor Garland and the Boston Bruins. That one, to me, makes a whole lot of sense.
