Ron MacLean: “All right, let’s go to the Montreal story. I know there’s nothing definitive, but everyone would love to know. What did they have cooking?”
Friedman: I had a theory. I’d love to sit here and tell everybody I know what it is. I had a theory. I don’t think that theory was accurate, so I don’t know. I don’t have the answer yet. I mean, we’re all going to continue working at until we figure it out. But the idea I have, apparently, is not true. Kevin, thinks on the chickens are not saying what it is, but not going to do it.”

Friedman: “I think it would, I think it would have been big. Yeah, I think it would have been big, but I can’t prove it, so I’m not going with it.”

MacLean: “Toronto has to fall to 28th now, based on the math right now, as of the moment, they’d have to acquire only nine points the rest of the way to fall to 28th or worse. But that would get them back first rounder that they gave up in the (Brandon) Carlo trade. So are you? Are you
watching Florida, Toronto at all?
Friedman: “Well, Toronto, I mean, we’re seeing how it’s going right now. For Florida, like, I one thing that’s pretty interesting is, I’m curious to see what their lineup is going to look like the rest of the year. Like, they have some guys who are hurt, and you can bring your roster higher than 23 now, as long as they’re under the cap. I think people are very curious to see Florida and what they’re going to do.
