Liverpool, England (February 6th, 2026)– DAZN will present a 13-bout professional boxing card at M & S Bank Echo Arena on Saturday, February 7, 2026, featuring the main event bout between World Boxing Association World Featherweight champion Nick Ball. Ball, making his fourth world title defense against former World Boxing Council World Super Bantamweight and Featherweight champion Brandon ‘The Heartbreaker’ Figueroa.

Ball, 23-0-1 with 13 knockouts, age 28, Liverpool, United Kingdom, is predicted to win by 12 Rounds Majority Decision over Figueroa, 26-2-1 with 19 knockouts, age 29, Weslaco, Texas.

Nick Ball is favored at -325 to -380. Betting $325–$380 to win $100 implies a high win probability. Brandon Figueroa remains the underdog at +251 to +270. A $100 bet on Figueroa returns $251 to $270 in profit.

Nick Ball to win by decision is favored by approximate odds of -105, while a knockout by Ball +1500 is considered less likely than his technical prowess. The fight is favored to go the distance at -196, rather than end in a stoppage +152.

Ball is short at 5’2″ with a 65-inch reach, and remains behind his high guard. A major key to victory for Ball is to double up and triple up the jab with consistency and score. For Ball to control the ring and the tempo, Ball has to wage war on the inside and turnt he bout into a relentless pressure inside brawl.

An upset is possible by Figueroa, who has a seven-inch height advantage at 5’9″ and at 72.5 inches of reach has a 7.5-inch reach advantage. However, Figueroa comes forward in one gear and gets hit often. Critics feel Figueroa is easier to hit despite his stamina, as he has slowed down. A fighter from both stances with a durable chin, Figueroa still has power, puts on the pressure, throws punches with high volume, and has a durable chin. Figueroa gets hit too much in the mid-range. However, if Figueroa can control the bout and keep Ball outside of distance range, Ball’s reach and height disadvantage will be exposed.

The key for Ball is to come inside and fight the entire bout at close range in a telephone booth. The key for Figueroa is to control the ring at a distance range. If Figueroa can control the ring with ring generalship and not allow Ball to get inside, an upset is in the making. Like Rocky Marciano, Ball must get inside and turn the bout into a toe-to-toe thriller. Ball is a great combination boxer, but many of his punches are thrown wide, creating key openings for Figueroa to win rounds if Ball makes this key mistake.

The Game plan execution, and the better-trained fighter will decide who wins in a close tactical bout. Ball’s key to success is taking his every bout to the inside and staying there. Figueroa has great experience. A decision favors Ball. If a knockout or stoppage with knockdowns does occur, the upset goes to Figueroa if he can cut off the ring and keep Ball at a distance. This bout represents a dramatic contrast of fighting styles and should make for a dynamic, exciting close bout. Knockdowns could affect scoring if the scorecards get close, edge to Ball with hometown advantage on the cards if the bout turns out to be very close, and it well could be.
