Nikki Bella is opening up about her dating life again — and this time, she’s not just addressing the attention, but the frustration that comes with it.
The WWE Hall of Famer is still figuring things out post-divorce, but according to her, the biggest problem right now isn’t finding someone — it’s dealing with the constant noise that comes with it. Every time she even steps out with someone, the situation gets blown up instantly. While speaking on Pod Meets World on March 25, 2026, Nikki Bella explained how quickly things spiral once she’s seen with someone — and why that’s made dating difficult.
“It’s hard because, compared to traveling, there’s a lot of fun messaging that happens. It’s hard to date in the industry because if you go on a date with someone, all of a sudden you see headlines like, ‘They’re together!’ They’re always saying these things.”
She went on to make it clear that this constant speculation takes away the ability to experience relationships naturally — something she feels she’s being denied because of her public profile. Nikki also admitted that despite being open to connection, her current reality is the complete opposite — there’s no romance happening at all right now.
“Why can’t I just experience people like everyone else does without people automatically assuming we’re together? That’s been hard, but I’m not ready for anything serious at all. It’s nice to have attention from a man, sweet text messages — I don’t have anything like that right now.”
But this situation ties directly into a much bigger stance she’s already taken when it comes to her personal life — especially involving her son. Back in September 2025 on The Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki addressed backlash she received after saying she wouldn’t introduce anyone she dates to Matteo for “years and years.” That comment triggered heavy criticism online, with some calling her a “red flag.”
“Let me tell you what has made men — a very specific audience though — on X angry. I make a comment that I’m like, ‘Yeah, I don’t want whatever man,’ like there was a dating question or whatever, and I go, ‘Yeah, and I don’t want to introduce anyone to Matteo for years and years and years.’ I say it like that — you know what I mean? They go — I mean, they are going at me — ‘Major red flag. This girl has so many issues.’ So, as a woman, if you introduce a bunch of men or some men to your kid, you’re bad. I’m now a woman who has red flags because I’m choosing not to introduce someone to my kid. And look it — let’s say I meet someone in a year, year and a half.”
