Noor Ahmad is having a dream season in IPL 2025. The young Afghan spinner has now become the Purple Cap holder, going past Hardik Pandya and Khaleel Ahmed in the ongoing match between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings.
Before this match, Noor had already taken 10 wickets in just 4 games. He was the joint-highest wicket-taker of the season along with Mumbai Indians’ captain Hardik Pandya. But during Punjab’s batting, Noor picked up a crucial wicket and moved to the top of the wicket-takers list.
The left-arm spinner dismissed Priyansh Arya, who was batting on 103 and looking dangerous. With this wicket, Noor took his tally to 11 wickets in 5 matches. This also helped him go past both Hardik Pandya and his CSK teammate, Khaleel Ahmed, who also picked up his 10th wicket during the same match.
