“Not as expensive as I thought” Leak reveals Lego sets for One Piece season 2 and fans love them

A total of six new One Piece brick sets have been leaked and Lego is once again relying on numerous minifigures.

After Lego’s success with the sets for One Piece season 1, it was only a matter of time before it continued with new products for the license. After prices had already been circulating on the internet a few weeks ago, leaked images of all six sets from the big wave of 2026 have now been released for the first time.

The initial reactions are extremely positive.

Small price increase

Lots of new faces: Collectors of the iconic minifigures can count themselves lucky with the new sets from One Piece. There are plenty of new pieces with many completely new characters and alternative designs to the Straw Hat Pirates. Even obscure characters like the Unluckies are included.

Only the absence of Mr. 5, Mr. 8, Mr. 9 and Miss Valentine is lamented, after all, they were all prominent faces in the second season. However, it is quite possible that more sets will follow that also include these characters. Reddit userTessek22 suggests a set for Whiskey Peak, which could include all the missing characters in one go.

Higher prices, but: While most One Piece sets were around 9 cents per piece in 2025, the first sets of 2026 are closer to 10 cents.
Compared to other licenses such as Star Wars, this is still cheap, but still almost 10 percent more expensive than before.

But you get more large and special pieces as well as many special and popular figures. In the past, Lego has often raised the price of minifigures in particular, but One Piece seems to have been spared this so far. The higher prices are probably mainly due to the building blocks. It’s up to you to decide whether it’s worth it.

Note for those interested: All sets will be available from independent retailers, so if you’re not looking for possible GWPs from the Lego online store, you can expect a 10 to 20 percent discount at launch.

Just a better Lego series than Star Wars

The Lego community on Reddit is almost universally enthusiastic. Here is a small sample:

  • jedto:These are mega! My favorites are Garp’s ship, the Loguetown set and Drum Castle, can’t wait to complete my collection.
  • MisterFlowerz:One Piece is a better Lego series than Star Wars right now. What a world we live in…
  • Brassard08:Not as expensive as I thought.
  • MrNoMorals: I hate how much I want all of them.

Occasionally there are also negative comments about the new wave, but they are usually not too critical either:

  • Brudogs:My only complaint is that there is no Laboon set. A golden opportunity missed.
  • SqueaykyTiefling: The only thing I don’t like is the creepy design from the big chopper, but I’ll buy Hiruluk’s house in a heartbeat.
  • Famous-Pay5201: The fact that there is no whiskey peak set is honestly disappointing. I’d sacrifice the big chopper in a heartbeat for a small Cactus Island set.

Lego only released one product wave for the first season of One Piece, so it remains to be seen whether there will be another one for season 2. Many fans are at least hoping for an 18+ set for Whiskey Peak, with at least 100 minifigures of course. The chances of this are good, after all there was already an 18+ set of over 3,000 pieces with the Baratié in 2025.
