Top stories last week (paused for the Olympics, so just the last week):
- The Rangers have won all four games last week, with wins over the Flyers, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Minnesota. Never thought I’d write that this season, though the timing is pretty bad.
- This week’s Patreon post (subscribe here!), Dave talked what it would look like if the Rangers bought out JT Miller. They won’t, by the way.
- Live From the Blue Seats discussed Alexis Lafreniere and Gabe Perreault have arrived and have given us a little hope for the future.
- JT Miller returned to the lineup and, surprisingly, did not replace anyone on 1L or 3L, though he did supplant Gabe Perreault on the top powerplay. It’s the small wins sometimes.
- The Rangers had a weak trade deadline, but there are still paths to a successful retool.
- Speaking of a successful retool, the Rangers will need to find a star at some point, that go to guy in a clutch situation.
- They will need some help, but the new Rangers top line is crushing opponents.
