The New York Rangers have no business giving us hope, but that’s what they are doing. Jaro Chmelar and Adam Sykora have breathed new life into this team. Claiming Tye Kartye has proved to be a shrewd move. Drew Fortescue has looked the part of an NHL defender. All this was added to the new top line of Gabe Perreault-Mika Zibanejad-Alexis Lafreniere, and has even breathed new life into captain JT Miller. Heck, even the Conor Sheary haters have nothing to say right now.
This new, young Rangers team is in Dallas facing a Stars team without much to play for right now. They are locked into the #2 spot in the Central Division, as Minnesota can’t catch them anymore. Dallas’ only priority right now is getting healthy, as they have about 9000 players injured right now, to the point where a fourth line player in Mavrik Bourque is in a scoring role. Even with the injuries, Dallas is a very strong team.
