OSCAR DE LA HOYA COMMENTS ON THE UFC BETTING SCANDAL & TELLS DANA WHITE “GET OUT THE F* OUT OF OUR SPORT! “
Fort Worth, Texas (November 7th, 2025)– Oscar De La Hoya has never been one to hold back when it comes to speaking his mind, especially when it involves the UFC or Dana White. His comments about the UFC betting scandal were controversial on Thursday, before Vergil Ortiz Jr. takes on Erickson Lubin on Saturday night on DAZN in Fort Worth, Texas.
De La Hoya blasted Dana White on his online show “Clapback Thursday”, accusing him of being a “bad influence” on the sport of MMA. He went as far as to say, “Get the f*ck out of our sport!” as a reaction to the recent controversies surrounding UFC fighters and betting issues.
It’s clear De La Hoya feels strongly that White’s leadership is damaging the integrity of boxing, especially given the growing concerns over fighter safety, the changing of the Ali Act, and transparency in betting.
This isn’t the first time De La Hoya has gone after Dana White—there’s been tension between the two for years, mainly stemming from their competition in the combat sports industry. For the past few years, De La Hoya, the President of Golden Boy Promotions, has often criticized White for his business tactics, fighter pay, and handling of certain issues in the UFC.
