Over 100 New Pokemon in Gen 10? | Latest Rumors Believe So!

Leak season is in full swing, and with Pokemon Day likely bringing the first real reveal for Gen 10, the newest claims are starting to pop up on 4chan again. There is usually at least one 4chan leak that ends up being right once the floodgates open. The question is whether this one is that leak, or just another list of guesses that sounds good on paper.

New Pokemon in Gen 10

This leak was posted on February 16 and immediately claimed a release date of November 20th, 2026.

That date is a Friday, which is worth noting because Pokemon has often released on Thursdays. Fridays and Tuesdays are also common release days in gaming, so it is not impossible, but it does create some hesitation. If Pokemon did choose a Friday, that would put it right before Black Friday in the United States, which would make a lot of sense from a sales perspective. It also feels like the absolute latest window where a late 2026 release could land.

Region and island count

The leak calls the setting the Japper region with 18 islands.

That lines up with the earlier island leak from the Terror Leaks, which also pointed toward around 18 islands. Because that number has already been floating around, this could be a sign the post is accurate, or it could just be borrowing from what is already out there.

New forms and regional variants

The post claims Japurian forms, described as four to five evolution lines plus two previous Pokemon.

Any time a leak avoids exact numbers, it raises questions. Four to five new lines feel light based on what recent generations have done. It is possible the leak is referring to additional evolutions for older lines plus a couple of regional forms, but the wording is vague, and the overall amount feels underwhelming compared to what people would expect.

Mascots and names

The leak names the mascots as Aron Naga for Wind and Nami Pac for Wave.

The names feel strange. They could be rough translations, placeholders, or just made up. The post also mentions a Ramboo Professor. That name is at least interesting because it sounds like it could be tied to something directional or symbolic, like a signal or a guide, but it is still unclear what it is supposed to mean in a Pokemon context.

Ridable Pokemon and the new Pokedex count

The leak claims ridable Pokemon, which is not surprising for an open world island game.

It also claims about 100 new Pokemon with eight new legendaries. Around 100 new Pokemon feels realistic based on recent generations. Eight legendaries feels high, and it is unclear whether that is included in the 100 or in addition to it, but 100 as a baseline number is one of the more believable parts of the post.

There is also the bigger-picture question of whether Gen 10 could do something closer to Gen 5, where new Pokemon dominate the early experience. A full 150 new Pokemon would be a huge statement for the 30th anniversary, but even 100 would still be a meaningful chunk if the total Pokedex is in the usual 300 to 400 range.

The big claim: the gimmick

This is the centerpiece of the leak.

It calls the gimmick “Pentalogon.” The claim is that fainted Pokemon can be revived with crazy stats and moves for three turns, and then they faint again. It also says there are new Pentalogon forms for some Pokemon, including Pikachu and Charizard.

On paper, this is an insane competitive mechanic. A short revival that lasts three turns would change decision-making completely. It would be especially wild if it stacks with other survival tools, because it creates situations where a Pokemon effectively gets extra turns of guaranteed presence. Even outside competitive play, it would be one of the most dramatic battle mechanics the series has ever added.

It also loosely connects to what has been floating around for a while: the idea that Pokemon will get buffed or empowered in some way, possibly through a Majene-style blessing. A three-turn “revival mode” does not necessarily contradict that, but it does feel like a bigger swing than what has been hinted. The part about special forms for specific Pokemon also starts to resemble the Dynamax and Gigantamax split, which could be what the post is reaching for.

The Pikachu mention is also notable because there has already been attention on leaked Pikachu footage showing weird movement or morphing. If anything in this post ends up being close, it would probably be the idea that the gimmick involves visible form or state changes.

At the same time, this is also the number one reason the leak feels fake. It reads like a “wouldn’t it be cool if” mechanic, not like a safe, corporate, Game Freak mechanic.

Weather and multi-layer exploration

The leak also claims weather gameplay with the sea and the sky. That could mean more than just rain and wind, like conditions that actually affect traversal and environments.

Then it goes further with submarine vertical routes in Abyssal Caves, with Pokemon and items inside.

The submarine part is where things start to clash with older mechanics like Dive. The idea of vertical underwater routes and abyss-style caves is awesome, and it would fix one of the biggest complaints about recent Pokemon caves being shallow, but a submarine requirement feels odd.

The post also claims sea depth and sky height are locked by levels and mostly restricted with Pokemon. That is interesting, because it suggests multiple layers to the map: surface, underwater, mountains, and potentially an upper-sky layer. If Gen 10 truly has stacked exploration like that, it would easily be the biggest map concept Pokemon has ever attempted.

So is it real?

A few elements sound like plausible guesses: 18 islands, around 100 new Pokemon, ridable traversal, and some kind of empowerment gimmick.

But the rest of it feels like a mix of vague wording, strange naming, and high-concept mechanics that seem too dramatic to trust. The gimmick idea is cool, but it reads more like someone designing a dream feature than someone describing a real build.

The safest read is that this is fake, with a couple of guesses that could still land close to reality.

The countdown

Pokemon Day is close, and once Gen 10 is officially revealed, it will be much easier to sort what was real, what was borrowed, and what was just creative fan fiction. Until then, leaks like this are fun to pick apart, especially when they throw out ideas that would genuinely change how Pokemon plays.
