Dear Gimmie family
We are pleased to share the news of Mr Helmut Lehmann’s appointment as assistant coach of the DHL Stormers. This achievement is exceptional, and it is a special honour for us at Paarl Gymnasium.
Helmut has made a deep and lasting impact on our school over the years. As an outstanding parent, first-team coach, respected educator and valued colleague, his work ethic, discipline, humility and leadership were always clear. His journey is one filled with great reward, and his appointment confirms the calibre of individuals who emerge from our school community.
Although our hearts are sore to lose a colleague, mentor and friend, we are immensely grateful — grateful for the years of service, the positive influence, and the way he shaped so many players into not only excellent athletes but also into young men who embody the Gimmie culture. His support and loyalty through the years will be remembered with appreciation.
Paarl Gim’s rugby structure is strong, deeply rooted and delivered by professional people. We are proud of our players’ hard work, knowledge, character and commitment. That is why we are reassured that the foundation, vision, staff and broader community will ensure the continued success of our rugby.
We wish Helmut all the best in his new role. May his growth, influence and energy continue to expand as he takes on this exciting leadership opportunity at the highest level.
