The Green Bay Packers have been contacted by the New York Jet about the possibility of a wide receiver trade. The news, which has just recently gone public, has caught the attention of many Packers fans.
Here are the details.
Jets Reportedly Contacted The Packers About A Wide Receiver Trade
According to ESPN’s Rich Cimini:
The #Jets have been calling around the league looking to potentially add a WR and one name that came up as a trade possibility was #Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks.
Green Bay has a loaded wide receiver room going into the 2026 season. Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden, and Dontayvion Wicks are the top four names going into the year. The return for Wicks is predicted to be a day 3 NFL draft pick (rounds 4-6) or so. It is unlikely Green Bay would ship off one of their wide receivers for such a low return.
Dontayvion Wicks’ Career Thus Far

Wicks was selected in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Virginia. He has appeared in 46 games and made an impact during his rookie season, finishing with 581 yards and 4 touchdowns. Here is a look at his career stats:
- 46 career games (18 starts)
- 108 receptions (180 targets)
- 1,328 receiving yards
- 11 touchdowns
- 2 rush attempts for 7 yards
Wicks stands 6’1″ tall and is listed at 206 pounds. It will be interesting to see if Green Bay takes any trade offers for their 24-year-old wide receiver.
