The Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins will be linked together for quite some time. Miami’s 2026 roster contains a former Packers’ quarterback (Malik Willis), defensive coordinator (Jeff Hafley), and Vice President (Jon-Eric Sullivan). Hafley has taken over as head coach in South Florida while Sullivan gets his first General Manager opportunity.
However, the two teams may not be done exchanging personnel.
Packers’ Receive Trade Call From Dolphins’ Jeff Hafley About Wide Receiver
Much of the Miami Dolphins’ off-season has been about setting their team up for success in the future. That meant off-loading Tua Tagovailoa and his massive contract, trading away star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos, and releasing numerous long-time players.
However, there is another move that Miami might be interested in making, if the Green Bay Packers were to agree that is:
Teams have been calling the #Packers about WR Dontayvion Wicks again. Some teams include the Bills, Raiders, Dolphins and Jets. Several others are calling, but these 4 have been the most prominent.
Wicks has been a hot commodity this off-season as his name has been enthralled in trade rumors for months now. If Green Bay were to trade him, it would make sense they’d trade him to a team who isn’t in their conference. The close relationship the two front offices have who obviously be an advantage over every other team.
Dontayvion Wicks’ Career Stats To Date

The 24-year-old wide receiver has spent his entire three-year career with the Packers. He immediately made an impact on the team in his rookie season finishing with 39 receptions, 581 yards, and four touchdowns.
His sophomore season in 2024 took a bit of a dip, something many fans didn’t expect. That season he finished with 39 receptions, 415 yards, and five touchdowns.
His third season in Green Bay took yet another dip as he accumulated only 30 receptions for 332 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite his gradual decline so far in the league, many analysts feel his ceiling in through the roof. No one would know that more than Green Bay’s coaching staff or those who have worked closely with him.
It will be interesting see if Green Bay decides to trade Wicks, and if so, what they get in return.
