Key Players For Pakistan Missed Out
Some of the experienced campaigners from Pakistan weren’t considered for the T20 World Cup 2021 squad including Wahab Riaz, Shoaib Malik, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Mohammad Amir, Sharjeel Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Usman Qadir, Zahid Mahmood, Shahnawaz Dhani. While the likes of Asif Ali and Khushdil Shah, who were dropped from the side after consistent failures, made their way into the side.Â
The decision made by the chief selector Muhammad Wasim didn’t go well with the Head Coach Misbah Ul Haq and Bowling Coach Waqar Younis. Both of the veterans resigned from their respective posts an hour after the squad announcement which clearly refers that something has completely gone wrong in the PCB.
Pakistan cricket team is set to play 5-match T20I series against New Zealand starting from September 25, two matches against England on October 13 and 14 before leaving for UAE where they will kick start their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 campaign on October 24 against their arch-rivals India.
