Pakistan is preparing to host the ICC Champions Trophy in early 2025, with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressing confidence in the country’s ability to retain hosting rights. Naqvi confirmed that Pakistan is in regular contact with BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, discussing logistics for the tournament. This event will be a significant occasion, as it will mark the first time since 2008 that the Indian team travels to Pakistan for a major cricket tournament.
Naqvi’s remarks come amidst ongoing speculation about whether the BCCI and Indian Government will permit the Indian team to travel across the border. While the BCCI has remained silent on the matter, Naqvi remains optimistic, stating that the PCB is also engaging with other participating teams to ensure smooth preparations.
