It is 3 days since India won the T20 World Cup 2024. But it is still in heart. After having an exciting season, Team India lifted the trophy for the second time. After the win, players are still stuck in the moment. The entire team is still stuck in Barbados due to bad weather conditions. At this time, a fun banter between Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, and Mohammed Siraj grabbed the limelight.
Fun Banter Between Team India Youngsters:
After facing a trophy drought, Team India lifted up the T20 World Cup trophy for the second time. In the recently concluded T20 World Cup, Team India was in amazing form. They completed the group stage with an unbeaten streak and maintained that till the final. By defeating South Africa, Rohit Sharma and Co. lifted their long desired trophy.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah presented the winners’ medals to Indian players following their victory over South Africa by seven runs in the final, marking India’s first ICC trophy win in 11 years. Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Siraj, and Axar Patel shared light-hearted banter about their winner’s medals from the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Pant posted photos on Instagram, showing off his medal, prompting playful exchanges among the teammates about their achievements and memories from the tournament. Sharing his picture with the medal, Pant wrote, “This medal hits you differently.”
Then Axar Patel and Mohammed Siraj came to the scene. Under Pant’s post, Axar wrote, “Bhai mere pass bhi hai.” Siraj also commented on the post. He wrote, “Bhai mere pass bhi h same.” That cute banter caught the attention.
The Trophy is Returning Home:
India, the champions of the T20 World Cup, are scheduled to return home early on July 4 from Barbados. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has arranged a chartered flight for the team and Indian journalists, who faced delays due to Hurricane Beryl in Barbados. They are expected to arrive in New Delhi early morning.
Upon arrival, the Indian team will have a packed schedule. They will first meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi before heading to Mumbai for celebratory events. The BCCI has planned an extensive day for the world champions, starting with an open bus parade near the Wankhede Stadium. This will be followed by a ceremony within the stadium
