Pat McAfee Taunts “Wrestling Marks” In New Video After SmackDown Attack On Cody Rhodes

Pat McAfee didn’t waste any time stirring things up again after WWE SmackDown, posting a new video on April 4 that kept the heat on Cody Rhodes while praising Randy Orton.

In the video shared the morning after SmackDown, McAfee directly addressed wrestling fans and mocked Rhodes following the brutal attack that took place the night before.

“Good morning, wrestling fans. Have you thanked Randy Orton for what he’s going to do at Wrestlemania? You should. Okay. Saving the business, Cody Rhodes had a tough one last night.”

McAfee didn’t stop with just the video. He also added a caption that doubled down on his support for Randy Orton and took another swipe at fans in the process.

“Good morning beautiful people.. To the wrestling marks.. I hope you all have already thanked @RandyOrton for what he’s gonna do for wrestling at WrestleMania #THANKYOURANDY”

This comes just one day after McAfee played a major role in the shocking opening segment on the April 3 episode of WWE SmackDown. During that segment, McAfee was revealed as Randy Orton’s mystery caller and helped set up the ambush on Cody Rhodes. McAfee delivered a low blow that allowed Orton to follow up with multiple chair shots, leaving Rhodes laid out.

McAfee had already raised the stakes before posting this new video, previously putting his own future in wrestling on the line with a bold promise tied to WrestleMania 42.

“I will make a deal with the IWC now..If @RandyOrton doesn’t win at Mania.. I will NEVER be seen OR HEARD on wrestling television AGAIN.”

McAfee is making it clear that he’s not backing down from his role in the storyline. Instead, he’s leaning into the chaos and continuing to hype Orton while taking public shots at Rhodes heading into WrestleMania 42.

With tensions already boiling between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, McAfee’s continued taunts only add more fuel to the situation. If Rhodes responds again, this rivalry could escalate even further before WrestleMania arrives.
