PCB is in touch with BCCI and Other Boards for Champions Trophy

During the end of last month (August), Jay Shah was elected as the ICC Chairman. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Moshin Naqvi has recently talked about the topic of Jay Shah being elected as the chairman and has said that PCB has no concern related to Shah being appointed.

Pakistan is currently the host of the Champions Trophy and the PCB is currently in touch with the BCCI and other boards who are to participate in the tournament.

“Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan, we are in touch with the BCCI Secretary. [We are] also in contact with the boards of the teams participating in the Champions Trophy,” Naqvi said.

“We are in touch with Jay Shah; there are no concerns about his becoming ICC Chairman. The ACC meeting is on September 8 and 9,” Naqvi told reporters.

As the Champions Trophy comes close, Pakistan is struggling with non-consistent play and underwhelming results. During his debut as the head coach for the Test format, Jason Gillespie has tried to do his best for the team. Though it has been all in vain as the team has suffered a low point, suffering a defeat against Bangladesh in home grounds.
