The most romantic restaurants in the country have been revealed, and two of them are in Massachusetts.
OpenTable’s list of “2026’s Top 100 Romantic Restaurants” includes two Bay State eateries: Pellana Steakhouse in Peabody and Sorellina in Boston.
“These restaurants know how to set the mood,” OpenTable wrote. “Celebrated by diners for romance, they’re the certifiably swoon-worthy spots people choose when the night matters most.”
Located at 9 Rear Sylvan St. in Peabody, Pellana is a North Shore staple for date nights, intimate dinners and special occasions. The cozy steakhouse is known for serving premium steaks and chops as well as fresh seafood dishes. Popular dishes include Filet Mignon, Seared Scallops and New York Sirloin, according to OpenTable.
Pellana is also known for its extensive wine list that has earned the restaurant a Wine Spectator Award since 2020. The list boasts more than 400 bottles from The United States, Italy, France, Germany, South America and beyond.
Meanwhile, Sorellina is located in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay at 1 Huntington Ave. The upscale eatery specializes in modern takes on Italian-Mediterranean cuisine, with staple dishes including broiled branzino with Romanesco, green olives and fennel pollen as well as salmon with pickled beets, horseradish crema, dill and rye brioche.

Founded in 1997, Sorellina has been overseen by acclaimed chef Jamie Mammano and is part of Columbus Hospitality Group. The group runs several other renowned Boston concepts including Mistral, Ostra and Mooo….
Other New England restaurants to made the cut were J. Gilbert’s – Wood Fired Steaks & Seafood in Glastonbury, Connecticut; Millwright’s Restaurant in Simsbury, Connecticut; Earth at Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport, Maine; Ristorante Massimo in Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Boathouse Waterfront Dining in Tiverton, Rhode Island and White Horse Tavern in Newport, Rhode Island.
