The team of MegaBad (Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford) received a second shot at the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships within weeks on the Feb. 25 episode of Dynamite. The champions, Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron) retained the belts due to a DQ caused by Lena Kross. Kross is the newest member of the AEW locker room and has attached herself to MegaBad.
The DQ finish was not the actual original result of the match. Ford injured herself during the bout, and an audible was called to finish the match per a Fightful Select report.
“During Babes of Wrath vs. Megabad, Penelope Ford sustained an injury that took her out of the match. An audible was called during the match that Lena Kross would run in and cause a DQ, instead of leaving a match as a 2 on 1 where the heel in Bayne had to fight from underneath.
During the commercial break, Penelope Ford was checked on and ruled out of the match. After Harley Cameron tagged out, she largely stayed out of the match as well.”

The full extent of Ford’s injury is not known at this time. She recently returned from the injured list from a torn ligament that took her out of Blood And Guts in November.
