PFL Brussels: Habirora vs. Henderson Set for Welterweight Showdown

NEW YORK – The Professional Fighters League (PFL) heads to Belgium on Saturday, May 23, bringing a marquee welterweight clash to the ING Arena in Brussels.

In the main event, Belgium’s undefeated standout Patrick Habirora (8-0) puts his perfect record on the line against former UFC and WEC champion Benson Henderson (30-12). The bout pits one of Europe’s fastest-rising prospects against one of the sport’s most decorated veterans.

Tickets and Broadcast Information

Pre-sale tickets for PFL Brussels will be available beginning Tuesday, March 3 at 12:00 PM CET, with general on-sale starting Wednesday, March 4 at 12:00 PM CET via pfl.info/brussels.

The event will air live in the United States on the ESPN App for subscribers with access to the ESPN Unlimited plan, while fans in France can catch the action on RMC Sport.

Undefeated Belgian Prospect Faces His Biggest Test

Habirora, currently ranked No. 10 at welterweight, enters the bout with an impressive 8-0 professional record, including seven wins by KO or TKO. Known as “The Belgian Bomber,” he delivered a statement performance last December at PFL Lyon when he stopped Kevin Jousset with a thunderous first-round knockout followed by relentless ground-and-pound.

Now, competing in front of a home crowd in Brussels, Habirora will face the most accomplished opponent of his young career. A victory over Henderson would significantly elevate his status in the welterweight division and solidify his reputation as one of Europe’s elite prospects.

Henderson’s Championship Pedigree

Henderson brings nearly two decades of elite-level experience into the cage. A former UFC and WEC lightweight champion, “Smooth” has defeated top-tier competition including Nate Diaz, Frankie Edgar (twice), and Jorge Masvidal.

Recently, Henderson has continued sharpening his skill set across multiple combat sports disciplines — including grappling, karate, wrestling, and boxing — before returning to MMA competition. The veteran remains determined to prove that his experience, versatility, and championship mindset still make him a serious threat in the division.
