The First Team offense is characterized by the dominance of Navy’s triple-option attack and the explosive passing games of North Texas and Memphis. Navy’s QB Blake Horvath earned his spot by tallying 14 rushing scores, which ranked among the top rushing quarterbacks in the FBS. He was complemented by RB Eli Heidenreich, whose 6.6 yards per rushing attempt provided a powerful one-two punch that made the Midshipmen’s offense consistently difficult to defend.

The ground attack strength on this unit is further cemented by North Texas RB Caleb Hawkins, who was a dual-threat force with over 1,200 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns on the ground, adding over 300 receiving yards and three scores.

The passing game components featured two wide receivers who ranked among the conference’s most productive. North Texas WR Wyatt Young was a consistent deep threat, amassing over 1,200 receiving yards for the Mean Green offense. Memphis WR Cortez Braham Jr. was another high-volume target, hauling in 63 receptions for 889 yards and eight touchdowns over 12 games.

The offensive line five featured multiple run-blocking standouts, including Temple’s Glakoby Hills and Army’s Will Jeffcoat, who earned top ratings as a dominant run blocker for the Black Knights’ ground-focused offense. UAB placed two interior linemen on the First Team in Adam Lepkowski and JonDarius Morgan, while Memphis’s Travis Burke contributed to a potent Tigers run game.

The First Team defense was anchored by a formidable defensive front, featuring four players who consistently impacted the backfield. Temple’s EDGE Cam’Ron Stewart recorded 10.5 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks for the Owls over 12 games, while Rice EDGE Tony Anyanwu demonstrated elite quickness with a strong tackle for loss rate and a high motor.

The interior line was dominant, with Tulane’s DT Santana Hopper logging 9.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks for the conference champion Green Wave, and Navy’s DT Landon Robinson adding 8.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks in 11 games.

The linebacker corps was led by the dynamic playmaking of USF’s LB Mac Harris and Memphis’ LB Sam Brumfield. In the secondary, Tulsa CB Elijah Green stood out as a premier ball-hawk, recording five interceptions through the first six games of the season. He was joined by Tulane’s CB Jahiem Johnson, who added three interceptions and seven pass breakups. The safety duo of Memphis’s Kamari Wilson and Army’s Collin Matteson provided strong coverage and run support.

The specialist unit showcased high-level precision and explosive return ability. USF K Nico Gramatica was a vital factor in USF’s nine-win campaign. Temple P Dante Atton, an Australian native, excelled in field position, punting 62 times for an average of 42.18 yards and pinning opponents inside the 20-yard line 27 times.

The return specialists were defined by home-run threat capabilities. UAB KR Solomon Beebe started the season strong and ranked among the nation’s leaders in all-purpose yardage and kickoff return yards in the first half of the season, consistently flipping field position for the Blazers.

Florida Atlantic PR Easton Messer was exceptionally effective, averaging 20.83 yards per punt return on 12 attempts, showcasing his ability to create immediate scoring threats for the Owls’ offense following a change of possession.

The Second Team offense featured USF QB Byrum Brown, who guided the high-powered Bulls offense to a 9-3 record by compiling over 3,000 yards of total offense and 29 total touchdowns, showing an exceptional ability to score in the red zone. The running back tandem included Navy RB Alex Tecza, another crucial piece of the Midshipmen’s top-tier rushing attack, and Temple RB Jay Ducker, who demonstrated versatility as both a runner and a receiver for the Owls.

The receiving corps was led by Rice WR Aaron Turner, a consistent pass catcher who was the focal point of the Owls’ air attack. He was joined by Tulane WR Omari Hayes, a key component in the passing game as the Green Wave secured the American Championship. Temple TE Peter Clarke provided a reliable option over the middle, while the offensive line featured experience from Army OL Teddy Williams and Tulane OL Shadre Hurst, both contributing to successful running games, and Temple OL Jackson Pruitt as a solid interior blocker.

The Second Team defense showcased strong performers across all three levels, beginning with the defensive line. Memphis DT William Whitlow Jr. was a key run-stuffer who anchored the Tigers’ stout defensive unit, while USF DT Traevon Mitchell was a productive interior rusher for the Bulls. Navy EDGE Luke Pirris was consistently disruptive in the Midshipmen’s defensive front, and Memphis EDGE Everett Roussaw Jr. registered a high number of pressures on opposing quarterbacks, demonstrating his impact despite not having high sack totals.

The linebacker group was highlighted by USF LB Jhalyn Shuler, a high-volume tackler who served as the defensive field general for the Bulls. He was complemented by Tulsa LB Ray Coney, who was a strong presence against both the run and the pass.

In the secondary, Memphis CB Jaidyn Denis was a reliable cover corner who broke up multiple passes with an interception, and Florida Atlantic CB Terez Reid was a physical corner who routinely matched up with the opposing team’s top receivers. UTSA SAF Jimmy Wyrick and Charlotte SAF Ja’Qurious Conley were both noted for their ability to play effectively both in the box and in deep coverage.

The Second Team special teams unit featured a pair of Navy specialists who consistently contributed to the team’s field position advantage. Navy K Nathan Kirkwood provided a reliable leg, especially on kickoffs, aiding the Midshipmen’s solid defensive field positioning. Navy P Jacob Carlson was consistent with his directional punting, averaging 44.9 yards per punt and limiting opposing returns throughout the season.

The return game featured Charlotte KR Derrick Eley, who was a consistent source of yardage on kickoffs, providing the 49ers offense with better starting position. Temple PR JoJo Bermudez was another dangerous punt returner who averaged 15.0 yards per return on 10 attempts.

The Third Team offense recognized the outstanding performance of North Texas QB Drew Mestemaker, who put up elite passing numbers, including over 4,100 yards and 31 touchdowns, leading the nation’s top scoring offense and earning the American Offensive Player of the Year award.

The running back corps was heavily represented by UTSA with RB Will Henderson III and RB Robert Henry Jr., a powerful duo who combined for over 1,800 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns in the Roadrunners’ ground-centric offense.

The receiving positions featured playmakers from high-production offenses, including North Texas WR Cameron Dorner, who benefited from the Mean Green’s aerial attack with 845 receiving yards and six touchdowns. USF WR Keshaun Singleton was a deep threat for the Bulls, averaging over 17 yards per catch.

The offensive line group featured the consistency of Army OL Brady Small, a foundational piece for the Black Knights’ run game, alongside Memphis OL Chris Adams and Malachi Breland, who helped the Tigers average over 180 rushing yards per game.

The Third Team defense showcased a solid mix of interior and edge disruption. East Carolina DT Zion Wilson was a powerful run stopper who anchored the American’s top-ranked scoring defense, while Tulane DT Kameron Hamilton added depth to the Green Wave’s strong defensive line rotation. Army EDGE Eric Ford and Tulsa EDGE J’Dan Burnett were consistent sources of pressure, with Burnett logging 7.5 tackles for loss for the Golden Hurricane defense.

The linebacker unit was led by North Texas LB Ethan Wesloski, a high-motor player who was a force in the Mean Green’s improved defensive scheme, and Memphis LB Drue Watts, a versatile linebacker with excellent coverage skills. The secondary included USF CB Jonas Duclona, a reliable corner in press coverage, and Florida Atlantic CB Damarius McGhee. The safety group featured three-year starter Army SAF Casey Larkin, a reliable tackler for the Black Knights, and Tulane’s Javion White, a versatile playmaker who recorded three interceptions for the conference champions.

The Third Team specialists included a pair of players who provided strong depth and reliability. Tulane K Patrick Durkin posted an exceptional season with 24 made field goals and 112 points scored, making him one of the nation’s most prolific kickers. Memphis P Lachlan Carrigan averaged 43.3 yards per punt for the Tigers, consistently executing clean exchanges and contributing to positive field position.

The return specialists were productive for their respective teams. Florida Atlantic KR Jayshon Platt was a regular contributor on kickoff returns for the Owls. UAB PR Iverson Hooks was a solid punt returner for the Blazers, averaging a respectable 11.0 yards per return on 10 attempts.
