The Phoenix Suns are coming off an embarrassing loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Cup.
Despite their 49-point loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Phoenix Suns have been having a nice season.
The Suns have been led by Dillon Brooks and Devin Booker along with many role players who have stepped up.
The Suns are 14-11 and sit in 7th place in the Western Conference. They could look to get aggressive and make a move ahead of the trade deadline.
A deal for a big star could be brewing for the Phoenix Suns
The Suns could be targeting a big star to align with Brooks and Booker.
They have been mentioned along with the Washington Wizards as potential trade suitors for Sacramento Kings‘ big man Domantas Sabonis, per Sam Amick.
What moves do the Sacramento Kings need to make to turn their fortunes around?
The Kings are expected to make a series of trades before the trade deadline and Sabonis will be a hot target.
If the Suns were to pursue Sabonis, a trade package would likely revolve around Jalen Green and Mark Williams, per Jake Weinbach.

The Phoenix Suns would be giving up on Jalen Green prematurely
The Suns acquired Green and Brooks in a blockbuster seven-team trade during the 2025 offseason that sent superstar Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets.
Green injured his hamstring during training camp and sat out all of preseason and the first eight regular-season games.

He made an impressive debut on November 6th against the Los Angeles Clippers in Phoenix, scoring 29 points in a 115-102 win.
Two days later, he played only seven minutes and scored two points before he re-aggravated the injury. Green has been out since, but he’s expected to be back soon.
Green has a lot of upside and the Suns should see more of a sample size from him before they look to trade him.
