Beth Phoenix has debuted a new look on Instagram, sharing pictures of her updated appearance with the caption “Gen X here.”
Phoenix, a former WWE Women’s and Divas Champion, has not appeared in a wrestling ring since AEW All Out 2025, where she assisted her husband, Adam Copeland, and his tag team partner, Christian Cage, in their victory over FTR. The appearance at All Out marked her most high-profile in-ring moment in years and left fans wondering whether it could signal a more sustained return to professional wrestling.
The new Instagram post has reignited that conversation, with fans speculating about whether the updated look could be connected to an upcoming wrestling appearance. Phoenix has not made any public statement beyond the Instagram caption regarding her future plans, leaving the purpose of the post open to interpretation.
Phoenix is regarded as one of the most accomplished women’s performers in professional wrestling history. During her WWE tenure, she was a dominant force in the women’s division, holding the WWE Divas Championship and the WWE Women’s Championship across multiple reigns. She is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2017, inducted alongside fellow women’s division icon Trish Stratus as part of a class that also included Kurt Angle and Teddy Long.
After stepping back from regular in-ring competition, Phoenix transitioned into a broadcasting role, working as an analyst and commentator for WWE programming, including Monday Night Raw. She was a color commentator before eventually stepping away from that role as well. Her marriage to Adam Copeland, better known as Edge, has kept her connected to the wrestling world, and she has made occasional appearances over the years at significant moments in his career.
Copeland himself returned to AEW at Revolution on March 15, making a surprise comeback during the show in Los Angeles. With Copeland back in AEW programming, the timing of Phoenix’s new-look post has led some fans to speculate that she could also have a role in upcoming AEW storylines.
