Pirates lead after 5 rounds

Pirates remain at the top of the table Uganda Rugby premiership with 19 points, having recorded four wins and one loss so far this season. In their most recent outing, they secured a commanding 61–23 victory over Mongers, further strengthening their position at the summit.

Both Victoria Sharks and Buffaloes are level on 19 points as well, but trail Pirates on points difference. Sharks boast a +77 points difference and have moved up the standings, while Buffaloes, with +55, maintain their position among the top contenders.

Kobs sit just behind the leading trio with 17 points, having registered three wins, one draw and one loss. Their latest match ended in a 34–24 victory, which helped them close the gap at the top.

Meanwhile, Heathens slipped down the table following their 12–7 defeat to Buffaloes. Despite the loss, they remain in the top five with three wins and two losses. Mongers also dropped down the standings after their heavy loss to Pirates and now have 16 points, with a points difference of -12.

Impis collected a bonus point in their latest outing despite losing to Kobs, bringing their total to 14 points from three wins and two losses.

Further down the table, Walukuba Barbarians and Hippos have maintained their positions with 10 and 8 points respectively. Both sides have lost three matches, although Walukuba have one draw to their name.

Rhinos climbed slightly in the standings and now have 4 points, despite losing four of their matches.

At the bottom of the table, Kakira Simbas and Warriors are yet to register a point this season after losing all their matches so far. They have points differences of -104 and -158 respectively.
