POTM Deepti Sharma says this after the match

The Women’s Asia Cup T20 2024 is being held in Sri Lanka. The tournament started on 19 July, 2024 and will go on until July 28. The T20 Series started with a match between Nepal Women and UAE Women. India Women and Pakistan Women came together in an electrifying match today at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla. Pakistan Women won the toss and opted to bat first. They scored 108 runs, losing all wickets in 19.2 overs. The India Women played well, scoring 109/3 in 14.1 overs, winning the match by 7 wickets. “Having camps helped us a lot” Player Of The Match Deepti Sharma Says

India Women’s Team bowler Deepti Sharma showed off her skills today against Pakistan. Deepti bowled 4 overs, taking 3 wickets and conceding only 20 runs. She maintained an economy rate of 5, which is a great feat in itself. 

Speaking in the post match ceremony, Deepti highlighted how going through a camp helped the India Women. She also admitted that she worked extra hard on her bowling after the South Africa series. 

“Feeling great and it worked out according to the plan. Bowled in the right areas. As a unit we are doing very well, having camps helped us a lot. I worked on my bowling after the South Africa series which helped.” Deepti said.

Speaking about Pakistan Women’s team captain Nida Dar, Deepti explained how satisfied she was after taking such an important wicket. Deepti dismissed Nida who scored 8 runs off 11 balls. 

“She is a good batter and it brings a lot of satisfaction when you get a batter like that. [if she knew she had reached 250 international wickets] No idea.” She added.

Deepti Sharma has officially taken 25p international wickets in her cricketing career so far.
