The Punjab Kings (PBKS) co-owner Preity Zinta was absolutely delighted after the young opening batsman Priyansh Arya played a sensational knock in the 22nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Priyansh Arya smashed the fastest hundred in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) by an uncapped batsman in the match against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur on Tuesday, April 8.
Priyansh Arya hits 39-ball ton
The young opening batsman looked at his aggressive best and took the CSK bowlers to the cleaners from ball one. Even though the wickets fell around him on a regular basis, he didn’t stop and kept playing an attacking brand of cricket.
Arya completed his half-century in 19 balls and then further accelerated to reach the three-figure milestone in just 39 balls. He completed his century on the 5th ball of the 13th over by smashing Matheesha Pathirana for a boundary.
Pathirana bowled a full ball on middle and leg to Priyansh Arya, who got a thick edge past the left side of the short third to find a four and reach the 100-run feat. After that, he took his helmet off, raised his arms, and soaked in all the applause.
His teammates in the dugout looked overjoyed while the team co-owner Preity Zinta jumped out of her seat in delight to applaud the young batsman.
