Also with the confirmed availability of their former skipper and icon MS Dhoni for another edition, it will give a major morale boost in their efforts to lift the coveted trophy again.
Ahead of the auction, the CSK management decided to retain five stars for a total spend of INR 65 crores and went into the auction with INR 55 crores.
Their first buy at Jeddah was to bring back their Kiwi opener Devon Conway and they further strengthened their batting attack by roping in domestic star Rahul Tripathi next.
For CSK’s third buy, they activated their RTM to get Rachin Ravindra.
