Productive start to 2026 for the Coach Development team!

January marked an extremely productive start to the year for the Coach Development Team, with a strong focus on education, collaboration, and preparing the system for the next phase of coach learning. Find the latest updates here!

Coach Assistant Modules & Learning Management System

The opening weeks of the month saw the Coach Development Team working intensively to complete the Coach Assistant modules, ensuring they are ready for launch within the new online Learning Management System. This work represents a significant step forward in modernising coach education and improving accessibility and quality of learning for coaches across the country.

Exciting TTKidz filming hailed a success

Filming for the TTKidz programme took place at Shakespeare Primary School, Leeds, with Steve Brunskill in attendance supporting Area Manager, Lauren Evans and joined by Tim McGovern, from, the Engagement Team, to film for the latest TTKidz programme which is set to be launched.

The Headteacher of School was extremely supportive, allowing full use of the sports hall and enabling a group of well-behaved pupils to take part in the filming throughout the day. The children worked brilliantly through the games and activities and were a real credit to the school.

It was a fantastic day for everyone involved, and sincere thanks go to the school staff and especially the children — for their enthusiasm and support. Watch this space for updates on the TTKidz programme and the videos to be released from the filming.

Live Q&A and CPD Launch

On Sunday 25 January, the Coach Development Team, led by Coach Learning Development Manager Evie Collier and supported by Steve Brunskill and Aad Kwakkelstein delivered a live Q&A session outlining upcoming changes to qualifications and providing insight into how the new coaching awards will look. The session was extremely well attended and received very positive feedback.

On Tuesday 27 January, the team launched its comprehensive CPD programme, starting with Corner Coaching. This proved to be a popular topic, with strong engagement and excellent feedback from all the coaches that attended.

The following day featured another live Q&A session, with a number of in-depth questions raised and addressed, further supporting coaches through the transition period.

The month ended with another online CPD session, Player Pathway, the session was led by Evie Collier, TTE Coach Learning Development Manager and supported by Steve Brunskill and Aad Kwakkelstein. The session was very informative, it explained how the qualifications and coaching changes depending on age and stages of the players.

Lots of questions were asked and answered and again great feedback from those that took part. Thank you to everyone who gave up their time and took part in the online sessions.

The CPD calendar will continue to be executed and now is your chance to sign up now for the upcoming sessions below.
