Full Project Motor Racing Update 2.0 patch notes.
It’s been teased, it has an ambitious title, and it should push Project Motor Racing forward. Now, as of 25th March 2026, the ‘Update 2.0’ is live across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, just four months after the sim racing game was initially released.
Work is set to continue, with the Straight4 Studios development team talking about this update being a platform to build upon. The full patch notes are below.

Potential highlights include new tyre models for the Mazda MX-5 and Porsche 991 (992) GT3 Cup, plus the GT, N-GT and GTE car classes. For multiplayer, anti-cheat is enabled, for single-player, the career introductory screens, real-world sponsors, podium celebrations and a more defined end-goal.
The entire user interface has been redesigned, ditching the pit garage scenes and re-ordering menu layouts. The in-race HUD has also been massaged, with a new ECU widget.

Console players are said to receive updated visual performance, making the comparison to the PC version closer, too.
A suite of graphical performance changes has been made (full list below), and the AI race performance is said to be enhanced – although in our testing, there’s still a lot of work to do in this area.
You can watch our hands-on impressions of the update right now on our YouTube channel and view the full changelog below.
