Tonight’s UFC Vegas 113 event was headlined by a key men’s bantamweight matchup between Mario Bautista and Vinicius Oliveira.
Bautista (17-3 MMA) had entered this evening’s main event looking to rebound, this after suffering a unanimous decision loss to Umar Nurmagomedov in his most previous Octagon appearance this past October at UFC 321. Prior to that setback, the 32-year-old had strung together an impressive eight-fight winning streak, a stretch which included victories over Jose Aldo, Ricky Simon and Patchy Mix.
Meanwhile, Vinicius Oliveira (23-4 MMA) entered tonight’s headliner sporting a six-fight winning streak, with his most recent triumph coming over Kyler Phillips this past July at UFC 318. ‘Lok Dog’ had scored stoppage wins in three of his past six fights prior to this evening’s affair.
Tonight’s UFC Vegas 113 main event resulted in another impressive performance from Mario Bautista. The highly touted bantamweight contender was able to get the better of ‘Lok Dog’ right from the opening bell and continued to overwhelm him until securing a rear-naked choke finish late in Round 2. It was a dominant performance for the 32-year-old, who moves to 9-1 overall in his past 10 fights.

Tons of $$$ has come in on Vinicius Oliveira this week. The line is now Bautista -130/Oliveira +110. Very tight odds. Should be a great main event! #UFCVegas113

10-9 Bautista after R1

10-9 Bautista. Oliveira seems like he’s more focused on not gassing out than he is on inflicting damage early on #UFCVegas113

Bautista is good

That was a horrendous showing for Oliveira. Just awful.
He says that he only has two bantamweight cuts left in him, but he should just move to featherweight now.
Fight more often and don’t destroy your body cutting 40+ pounds to make weight.

Ok maybe I was wrong about Mario Bautista 😬 #UFCVegas113
