A Punjab Kings (PBKS) all-rounder scored a marvellous ton during his team’s latest game in international cricket. The player has been one of the most consistent players of his side and again came up with a magnificent effort with the willow, playing a big knock.

Sikandar Raza, the 38-year-old all-rounder from Zimbabwe, scored a whopping 133 runs in just 43 deliveries, including seven boundaries and 15 maximums, at a magnificent strike rate of 309.30 in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier B game against Gambia. He took only 33 balls to complete his century, the joint second-fastest in T20Is and became the first-ever centurion for Zimbabwe in T20Is, surpassing Dion Myers’ 96 against Rwanda last night.

Among all the 100+ scores in T20I cricket, Raza’s strike rate (309.30) is the second-best after Sahil Chauhan’s 351.21 against Cyprus earlier this year. Further, Raza becomes only the second batter after Sahil to have a strike rate of 300+ in a 100+ knock in a T20I innings.

Zimbabwe now have two of the five highest team scores in T20Is, for they scored 286/5 – the fourth-most – against Seychelles earlier this month. Further, Zimbabwe hit 27 sixes, the most-ever by a team in a T20I innings, again breaking Nepal’s record of 26 maximums against Mongolia.

As many as four players scored a fifty for Zimbabwe, the most ever in a T20 innings. They defeated Gambia by 290 runs – the highest-ever win margin in T20s.

Gambia were bundled on a mere 54 in 14.4 overs during the second innings. Richard Ngarava and Brandon Mavuta snared three wickets each, while Wessly Madhevere dismissed two batters to register a historic win.
