Wednesday saw Purley on Thames CC become the latest Berkshire cricket club to run their first Walking Cricket session. On a beautiful sunny morning, players of various experiences came together to try their hand at a new activity. It was an impressive first session with some excellent batting and bowling on display before everyone sat down to enjoy a well-earned cup of tea.
The group will meet every Wednesday 11-1pm at Purley on Thames CC and hope to develop a squad big enough to play Walking Cricket fixtures against other Berkshire clubs this summer. Beginners and experienced players are all welcome.
