As Australia faces India for the Boxing-Day Test, beginning December 26, 19-years-old Sam Konstas is going to make his debut. Nathan McSweeney got sacked from the squad as he could not manage to score big numbers in the first three Tests of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
Sam seems to be quite eager to face India’s bowling attack after the team has completed their preparations to face formidable players like that of Jasprit Bumrah.
“I’ve got a few plans against those (Indian) bowlers. Feeling like I’m moving really nice and hopefully I get that opportunity. I’m just going to react to the ball and show a bit of intent and put a bit of pressure back on the bowlers,” Konstas told Fox Cricket.
19-year-old Sam Konstas will be Australia’s youngest debutant since Pat Cummins, who made his debut at the age of 18 years 193 days. The teenager is excited about the chance to make their debut at the MCG in front of a massive crowd.
