Most of the current Terriers are on break or finishing first semester exams, but the alums are busy on the ice, producing goals and assists as well as milestones. Let’s take a page out of the NHL tradition of awarding stars of the night.
First ⭐️ goes to Quinn Hutson who, in his fourth NHL game and in his return to TD Garden, scored his first NHL goal which was the game-winner in Edmonton’s 3-1 win over the Bruins.

SportsNet.ca post-game interview:
“Yeah, it was pretty cool,” said Hutson, who played
collegiately at Boston University. “I’ve had some cool goals in this rink, but
that was definitely the coolest, so it’s great. … I was part of the
forecheck, it bounced out and I just went to the net. I thought he got a stick
on it, and I watched it barely go in, but it was nice to see it go.”
As Terrier, Hutson, who led BU last season with 50 points, scored three goals and added three assists in 11 Garden appearances. His last goal there came in BU’s 7-1 win in last season’s Beanpot opener. His last game-winner at the Garden was in 2023 Hockey East semifinal against Providence.

BU Hockey Stats also reports that Hutson
is the 6th Terrier to score his first NHL goal at Boston/TD Garden and first to
do so as a visitor since Colin Wilson (NSH) on October 21st, 2009.
Second ⭐️ goes to Macklin Celebrini who pulled another magic move out of his bag of tricks to help victimize Jake Oettinger in San Jose’s 5-3 loss to Dallas. It was his first of two assists, but Oettinger, who stopped 34 shots, came away with his 15th win. Celebrini now has 53 points, which is third in the NHL behind Nathan MacKinnon and Connor McDavid.

Earlier in the week, Celebrini reached a milestone by putting up four points (2G,2A) in a 6-3 win against Calgary that featured a highlight-reel move for his 17th goal. Later in the game, he scored his 18th. The four points put him over the 50 mark.

Third ⭐️goes to Lane Hutson who assisted on three goals–including the game-winner–in Montreal’s 4-1 win against Chicago. He has 31 points (5G,26A) in 33 games and has set a Canadiens’ record
for most assists in a calendar year with 62. It’s also a record for defensemen
in 2025. Matt Grzelcyk assisted on the Blackhawks’ goal.
